Johnny T manages to give them the slip with the help of a Molotov Cocktail. He returns home in a panic to his sister Boo, explaining that he has to get out of Belfast, now! He dreams of going to Barcelona but that will have to wait.
Reviews
"Directed with energy to burn by Vinny Murphy, Accelerator deals with a frenetic car chase from Belfast to Dublin involving five male drivers and their female companions...There are only so many ways to shoot such an extended car chase from within and without the vehicles and lighting cameraman Seamus Deasy copes dextrously within these confines."
The Irish Times
"With a plasuible cast of young actors from Dublin and Belfast, Accelerator has enough dramatic potential to reach an audience. By avoiding the urge to preach, by letting the moral impulses and understanding grow from the characters, Murphy has found a way of breathing new life into a stale genre."
