Grand Pictures

Grand Pictures, formed in 2000 by Michael Garland and Paul Donovan, is one of the top film and television production companies in Ireland. The company produces comedy and drama and works with a mix of new and experienced talent.

Our feature film credits range from the low budget domestic hit Spin the Bottle to Nicholas Roeg’s international co-production Puffball and Ian FitzGibbon's Death of a Superhero. Grand Pictures are recipients of both MEDIA and IFB Slate Funding.

Aside from developing and producing our own projects we also work as a co-producer for European, US and Australian production companies who wish to access Ireland’s Section 481 tax incentive scheme (most recently on the 12 hour TV series 'Titanic - Blood and Steel' in co-production with DAP Italy and 'Moone Boy', a six half-hour comedy drama series for Sky in co-production with Baby Cow and Sprout).

Grand Pictures is a multi award winning producer of comedy and drama for domestic television. Hits include mock documentary Paths to Freedom, the sketch show Stew, and Trivia. The company is currently building a slate of projects for the Irish and UK broadcast market.

Paul is now contactable as Deadpan Pictures. Click here for more info.
